Travel Division Tryouts Announced for Fall 2010 Season
Below please find information about the Travel Division Tryouts for the Fall 2010 season. Please refer any questions to the noted team leaders in each announcement.  You may register for the fall season on the League's registration site.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE THAT WERE POSTED ON 5/27/2010 - PLEASE CHECK YOUR TIMES FOR YOUR SPECIFIC TEAMS.  ANY DATE/TIME COMBINATION YOU HAD BEFORE 5/27 MAY BE WRONG.  CORRECTED TIMES ARE BELOW.  UPDATED TIMES ARE IN YELLOW AS OF 5/27/2010.

U9, U10 and U11 Boys and Girls Fall 2010 Soccer Travel Try-outs
SYSL is pleased to announce its try-out schedule for the Fall U9, U10 and U11 Boys and Girls Travel Teams.
The try-out will be held on: Saturday, June 5, 2010 as follows at the Grass Travel Soccer Field at West Beach, Shippan Ave:

U11 Boys and Girls - Registration 2:30 to 3:00
U11 Boys and Girls - Tryouts 3:00 to 4:00
U10 Boys and Girls - Registration 3:55 to 4:15
U10 Boys and Girls - Tryouts 4:15 to 5:15
U9 Boys and Girls - Registration 4:45 to 5:30
U9 Boys and Girls - Tryouts 5:30 to 6:30

Eligible player for U11 Boys and Girls are those born between August 1, 1999 and July 31, 2000.
Eligible players for U10 Boys and Girls are those born between August 1, 2000 and July 31, 2001.
Eligible players for U9 Boys and Girls are those born between August 1, 2001 and July 31, 2002.
All players are required to attend the session with appropriate soccer attire (cleats, shin guards and a ball as well as water)

The season runs approx September through November although practice starts in August. Team travel is generally limited to Fairfield County.

Any player that is new to the travel program is required to bring with them a completed registration form along with payment, a copy of their birth certificate, and a passport size photo. New players may register electronically at www.stamfordsoccer.org, but must bring to the tryouts a copy of the confirmation page or a completed travel registration form. Travel registration forms may be found at the league’s website.

In addition to the registration fee, each player will be responsible for paying coaching fees that range from $200 to $250 for U9 and U10 teams and $200 to $350 for U11 teams for the Fall season. There are no scholarships for coaching fees.

There is a mandatory meeting for the parents of the children trying out for the U9 Boys and Girls team beginning at 4:30 pm.

U12 Girls Fall 2010 Soccer Travel Try-outs
SYSL is holding try-outs for the Fall U12 Girls Travel Team. Eligible player are those born between August 1, 1998 and July 31, 1999. All Current U11 Girls Travel Players along with any New Players interested in joining the team should attend the tryout.
The try-out will be held on: Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm at West Beach, Shippan Ave.
Rain date for tryouts is June 9, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at West Beach Turf Field # 1, Shippan Ave.

U13 Boys Fall 2010 Travel Try-outs

SYSL's U13 Boys Travel Team is holding try-outs for FALL U13 Boys Travel Players along with any new players interested in the team.

Try-outs on: TUE, JUNE 1ST, 2010 at West Beach Turf Field #1, Shippan Ave.

For players born between the dates of August 1, 1997 (08-01-1997) and July 31, (07-31-1998)

The season runs approx September through beginning of November.
All players are required to attend the session with appropriate soccer attire (cleats, shin guards and a ball)
 
NEW PLAYERS
A completed registration form is required for new players and available from the website

or a current manager (Please check-off the travel section) along with a fee of $175. New players must also provide a passport size photograph, an original birth certificate with raised seal (which will be returned) Along with a copy of the birth certificate.
 
PREVIOUS PLAYERS
Are required to sign up on the Blue Somberero website.

A print out of the confirmation is to be collected by the manager

along with a copy of the code of conduct.

U13 Girls Fall 2010 Tryouts

U13 Girls Fall Soccer Travel Tryouts 2010 

SYSL are holding tryouts for all Current U13 Girls Travel Players along with any New Players interested on Fri., June 4th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at West Beach Park at the turf field off Shippan Ave., Stamford. Tryouts are for players born between the dates of August 1, 1997 (08-01-1997) and July 31, 1998 (07-31-1998) The season runs approx September through mid November.  All players are required to attend with appropriate soccer attire (cleats, shin guards and a ball)  

A completed registration form is required and available from a current manager or website http://www.bluesombrero.com/Default.aspx?tabid=52909 (please check off the travel section) along with a fee of $175.

New players must provide a passport size photograph and an original birth certificate (with raised seal) which will be returned. Returning players must provide a passport size photograph.  Please note all players accepted, additional fees of approx $350 will be collected at the start of the fall season.
