Coaches are the backbone of SYSL. For our House League, coaches are 100% volunteers from the community, usually parents of children on a given team. Occasionally, we have students from local Stamford High schools (West Hill, Stamford, Trinty or others) volunteer as coaches.
SYSL supports our volunteer coaches with a variety of educational programs and clinics to help improve their skills. On the pages on this website under "Coaches/Managers" there are links to these programs as well as useful documents. Some of the programs are run by our professional training organization (Quality Touch Soccer Academy) while others are run by the NY Red Bulls as part of our partnership with the club.
Our Travel Division relies on the volunteer efforts of parent coaches and parent managers. There are documents and support available to these volunteers as well.
