All players are required to attend the session(s) with appropriate soccer attire (cleats, shin guards, ball and water)

The season runs approx September through mid-November although training starts in August.  Team travel is generally limited to Fairfield County. 

Any player that is new to the travel program is required to bring with them a completed paper registration form, with a copy of their birth certificate, and a passport size photo.  New players may not pre-pay for the travel program or register electronically.  Travel registration forms may be downloaded here.  Travel registration fees for new players to the program are payable after a player is accepted onto a travel team.  New players are those players who are not currently on a travel team during the Spring 2012 travel season.

Fees for travel are as follows:  Registration fee for the Fall season is $175.  Additionally, each player will be responsible for paying coaching/training fees that range from $200 to $250 for U9 and U10 teams and $200 to $350 for U11 teams for the Fall season.  There are no scholarships for coaching/training fees. Coaching/training fees are due at the beginning of training in August 2012.

Local Boy Makes it to the Big Leagues!

Jhonny Arteaga, a native of Stamford, CT was signed to the NY Red Bulls this week along with three other players.  Jhonny played in Stamford as a boy with SYSL.  Mike Crocco, league commissioner knew him way back and has fond memories of a kid who "wasn't even that good early on".  Despite the rough start (which might have knocked someone else out of the game), Jhonny was persistent, played through high school and college and progressed year on year.  He's a great example of how hard work and persistence can pay off in a big way.
